Mathon soundscape for M∞ Sarcophagus

The collaboration between Mathon and etoy for the soundscape of the Mission Eternity Sarcophagus continued intensively towards Ars Electronica 2009. What started with a small concept and yielded in an impressive first release for Heiligkreuz got refined again, and is currently mesmerizing the many visitors of the Sarcophagus on Ars Electronica’s upperdeck.
Mathon‘s soundscape is an integral part of the Sarcophagus already. Voices and breathing of our Testpilots are woven together with minimal clicks on booming ambient layers. All floating – no beats and disturbing breaks, so that a visitor just feels like lying down on the orange pillows to enjoy the space.

ETOY.com presents the MISSION ETERNITY SARCOPHAGUS on the Roof of the new Ars Electronica Center. MATHON creates the Soundscape which will be heard inside the Multimedia Tank with his impressive LED Display System. As etoy.soundAGENTs we will constantly extend the Audio-Database linked to the Content of the ARCANUM CAPSULES which carry the digital heritage of the M∞ PILOTS.
The MATHON Soundscape adds a new Dimension to ETOY’s long term Project about “Crossing the Deadline”.

The Festival:
Festival itinérant de musiques électroniques, les Digitales investissent chaque été depuis 2005 les parcs publics de Suisse romande. C’est ainsi au cœur même des villes, allongé sur un transat que vous pourrez savourer de tous vos sens une programmation à la fois éclectique et pointue, entre concerts électroniques, surprenantes performances et installations, rafraîchissements et petite restauration.
En 2009, les transats et sonorités électroniques des Digitales feront halte dans quatre villes.
Le samedi 22 août à La Chaux-de-Fonds (NE)
Les Digitales sont une coproduction entre l’association des Digitales (Lausanne), Muzak (Porrentruy), Cycle Opérant (La Chaux-de-Fonds) et Après la sieste (Bienne).
